My personal story in dealing with stress - Episode 3/6 – First technics to manage my stress

Writer's picture: Alexandre HeinrichsAlexandre Heinrichs

For a long time already, I had been intrigued by Yoga, so this was the first thing I started. I joined the yoga club of my company and started softly. It was such a great discovery. I could relax during sessions fully, and it helped me with my suppleness. After 40 years old, it is a great way to maintain the body in good shape. I also liked all the respiratory exercises and learning how you master your breathing. At the end of each session, we usually finish with Shavasana, the total relaxation time. I liked this part; I could let go and relieve the pressure. Yoga was such a beautiful discovery for me; I also realized that they were multiple types of yoga, so I decided to try all of them.

Then it leads me almost naturally to meditation. I did some practice at my Yoga club but learned to meditate principally online. I downloaded a couple of apps and watched many YouTube videos. Meditation helps me a lot to relieve stress and take some energy. Instead of taking a break for a coffee, one of my favorite social activities, I went to the resting room to meditate for a couple of minutes. My yoga and meditation sessions taught me some breathing techniques that helped me a lot. That was the first thing I tried and implemented to manage my stress. It helped me a lot and gave me lots of motivation to learn more, a new passion was born as well, well-being, and I wanted to know much more about products we can use and the new habits to develop to reach a healthy lifestyle.

In a nutshell, I started testing some techniques, such as yoga and meditation, to manage my stress. Set your time zone, pick a time, and let's chat over a virtual coffee!
